Circuit Design Engineer

·   Engineered ATM voice and data circuits using the Lucent PSAX 1250, 2300, 4500 and the CBX 500. Updated the ATM circuit database with new designs and redesigns.

·   Designed customer voice circuits to SM and DNUS slots in the Lucent 5E Switch and design network backbone capacity circuits to STS and optical carrier slots in the Lucent 5E Switch. 

·   Engineered transmission facilities to provide network reliability and network diversity through load balancing.

·   Provided technical solutions specific to product requirements and strategy necessary to achieve the successful completion of each provisioning work order.

·   Circuit migration lead engineer for projects in assigned markets to optimize network capacity through in the Lucent 5E Switch and reduce network expenditures.

·   Project managed assigned new market turn-ups to ensure high quality network designs and optimal network access while working with Network Provisioning, Network Optimization, Network Planning, ATM Engineering, Data Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Collocation Engineering and central office technicians.

·   Responsible for investigating and developing planning assessments for new market collocations targeted for network roll-out in addition to on-network and off-network expansions in existing markets.

·   Implemented T1 and T3 interoffice and TDM network facility orders using access service request (ASR) forms and internal service request (ISR) forms in MetaSolv 5.2 database and vendor gateway systems.

·   Provisioned T1 circuits to allow B8ZS line coding and extended super framing.

·   Implemented orders for SS7 outgoing and incoming trunks, 2-way IXC trunks, multi-frequency operator service trunks, IMT trunks, choke trunks and 911 trunks.
